Lucent is an AI product engineer that helps software companies identify and resolve user issues by analyzing session replays, diagnosing bugs, and supporting product development workflows. We integrate with various third-party platforms on behalf of our business customers to provide these services.
We do not sell any customer data or end-user data.

Our Services and How They Work
Lucent provides AI-powered product engineering services to help software companies understand and resolve user issues. Our platform analyzes session replays, support tickets, bug reports, and product data to automatically diagnose problems and support engineering workflows.
To provide these services, we request read-only access to data from various third-party platforms that our business customers use, including:
- Session replay and analytics platforms (e.g., PostHog, Amplitude, Datadog) — to analyze user behavior and identify issues
- Customer support platforms (e.g., Intercom) — to correlate support tickets with user sessions
- Issue tracking systems (e.g., Linear) — to support bug tracking and product roadmap workflows
- Error monitoring platforms (e.g., Sentry) — to identify and diagnose technical errors
- Team communication platforms (e.g., Slack) — to deliver insights and notifications to relevant team members
We may integrate with additional platforms as our services evolve. Our customers authorize these integrations and control what data we can access.

Data Processed on Behalf of Our Business Customers
When providing our services, we process data on behalf of our business customers. This data may include:
- Session replay data: Information about how end users interact with our customers' websites or applications, including browsing behavior, clicks, scrolling, and navigation patterns
- Support ticket data: Information from customer support interactions, including ticket content, user identifiers, and conversation history
- Error and bug data: Technical information about errors, exceptions, and bugs encountered by end users
- User identifiers: Email addresses, user IDs, or other identifiers used by our customers to identify their end users

Data Collected Directly from You
We collect personal data you provide directly to us when you:
- Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, and company information when you register for an account, request a demo, or contact us
- Account information: Login credentials, account preferences, and information about the services you use
- Payment information: Billing details processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe). We do not store payment card numbers
- Communications: Content of messages you send us through email, chat, or other channels

Third-Party Platform Integrations

We access only the data necessary to provide our services, and our access is governed by the permissions granted by our customers and the terms of each platform.
Our current integrations include PostHog, Amplitude, Datadog, Intercom, Linear, Sentry, and Slack. We may add additional integrations over time. Each integration is subject to the privacy policies and terms of service of the respective platform.
Google OAuth and Google API Services
Lucent uses Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in using your Google account, we may access and store certain information from your Google account, including your name, email address, and profile picture, to create and manage your Lucent account.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only request access to the data necessary for the functionality of our application
- We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes
- We do not sell Google user data to third parties
- We do not use Google user data for purposes unrelated to providing our services
You can revoke Lucent's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Data Security and Retention
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Data processed on behalf of our customers is retained according to our agreements with those customers.

Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
